The State of Ohio struggles with the problem of adequately funding public schools in our state. Many schools have difficulty keeping facilities up to date, maintaining full staffing and providing current textbooks and technology. Given this fact, it is easy to see how many alternative education programs are left behind.
Our Mission
The mission of the Jewell Education Foundation is to provide an alternative/supplemental source of funds for education in Warren County. It also provides a secure vehicle for those donors wishing to channel charitable contributions to educational areas of their interest and enhances the power of individual contributions by leveraging a greater pool of charitable funds.
Our Purpose
Passionate learning is achieved through a rigorous partnership among student, teacher, parent and the community. Students will benefit from The Jewell Education Foundation in three key areas.
- Students’ learning experience will achieve higher expectations through the new innovative learning provided by the funded programs.
- Students will be supported and motivated to achieve higher academic and hands-on practical experiences that will advance both their postsecondary learning and their career choices.
- Students will become more self-sufficient due to the increased ‘areas of influence’ that these possibilities shall offer.
The Jewell Education Foundation is currently partnering with 7 Warren County schools and the Warren County Career Center to develop alternative education projects that will benefit children in grades K-12.
The partnering districts include:
