Nicole Sorrell a graduating Senior at Franklin High School was awarded a Jewell Education Foundation Scholarship by Sharon Jewell, founder of JEF, in the amount of $500.00 on May 16, 2012. Nicole has volunteered in the Franklin community, in the fight against breast cancer, helping elderly people, taught handicap children to swim at the YMCA for 3 years and also received the Good Neighbor Award from the Franklin City Council. Nicole was also a Buckeye State Girls delegate, served as the Treasure for The National Honor Society and coached pee wee cheer leading. Nicole plans to study Nursing in college.
