Alex Grey a graduating senior at Waynesville High School was awarded the Jewell Education Foundation Scholarship by Sharon Jewell, founder of JEF in the amount of $1,000.00 on Monday, May 15, 2012. Alex will be attending Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois in the fall. This spring Alex had an idea that became a reality by organizing a big fundraiser event called Saving the Cheetahs. Through her efforts and skills with the help of staff to know if she was within proper guidelines for fundraising over $300.00 was donated to the Columbus Zoo.
